Summary: I like this area, there is a lot of history there. The fact that they had an opening was helpful but understandable. From the pictures ut looked like enough to do but not really. You have to go to do anything. One restaurant we went to was terrible and why overpriced. Not sure why things cost so much there. Much of the area around looks like a third world country. It was sad.

Summary: We enjoyed being on the water, however the view of the cramped cabin took away the escape my wife and I wanted. Also make sure you like a firm mattress.... I was like a brick company.

Summary: The quaint cabin we stayed in in smoky cottages with a view was exactly what we were looking for in Maggie Valley accommodation. We enjoyed the very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Summary: The cottage we stayed in was Creekside so I had my coffee every morning listening to the stream which was absolutely gorgeous the weather was lovely the only thing I didn't like was the cottages were a little dated the cottage I had at first maybe because it was closed for a few days it had a smell of mothballs and definitely not an updated cottage but it was a great stay

Summary: The cove was cool and check in was easy! The photos do not reflect the actual condition of the cabin. They reportedly moved our cabin from two bedrooms to three bedrooms at no extra charge. When we arrived it was in very bad shape considering how much we paid (Expedia didn't show the cleaning fee added to our total) The place looked more like a mobile home split into sections. The AC wasn't on when we arrived which they said they were going to do. It smelled weird of mold and the ceiling had mold covered in paint. We won't be staying here again and we had a hard time staying even two nights.

Summary: Old-fashioned cottage with a backyard with a stream. It has pots and pans, cutlery and plates to be washed before you leave and empty your own garbage in the dumpster outside the property. It has a microwave and stove, coffee maker, air conditioning, old fashioned 60's heater, 2 queen size beds, full size fridge and bathroom. The back porch is covered and overlooks the yard and stream. Trees cover the cottage and yard, keeping it cool. They say "pet friendly", but the devil is in the details. Pets are not allowed on furniture and must be placed in crates while you are away. You pay a pet fee and still get an extra fee if they find out your pet is not in a cage. This is the only downside for me and should be mentioned in the property description if you don't have a cage with you. When you look at the price you see $169 but after tax it's $204 then with cleaning and pet fees it's $269 a night. Understand this before booking. If you don't have pets I say it's fine but beware if you do.

Summary: Absolutely amazing place, Cindy was so helpful and even ensured we had cool air conditioning and lights upon arrival! The beds were super comfy and nice hot showers! Loved the view and the creek right behind the cottage! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice place, just a different hotel room!

Summary: Not what was in the picture. It smelled like mold. The inside of the property was old, dirty and broken. I got mold. The fans made a terrible noise. It was supposed to be on the river. He was not. The carpet in the living room was so dirty that we had to wear socks after the shower so as not to have dirty feet. Check in on your phone. . . and then no response to let them know they are unacceptable. Mud outside and porch chairs never cleaned. I will never stay here again.

Summary: A couple of major issues... 1) extra extra charges were 50% of the total cost. I expect taxes, cleaning fees etc but this is much more than the norm and the additional fees were only known the day before. Unacceptable...as a minimum they should be listed before booking at least as an estimate. 2) absolutely worthless/no wifi in the cabin and no tv. The cottage information said that the property was uneven in some areas, but I assumed that didn't mean an actual cabin. . . this was also unacceptable. There were 2 TVs in the cabin and they were useless other than I could use my own personal WiFi hotspot from my phone. For the price, the lack of Wi-Fi in the room/cabin is unacceptable.

Summary: The hotel wasn't bad, a bit dated but overall clean except for the elevator which was dirty. Breakfast was a frozen wheat tortilla made of egg and turkey bacon, prepackaged muffins and danish. There is a lovely sign with hot waffles but I was told they cannot serve waffles due to Covid. Fruit would have been nice and the orange juice was sour.
