A mobile or manufactured house has 2 main identifiers: a HUD day and a data plate.
The HUD day has the certification label and the data plate contains both the serial number and the code certification number.
The data plate is a white piece of paper that is normally found on the back of a kitchen cupboard door. It is easy to identify because it contains a map of the United States.
Manufacturer Home Hud -Tags
A HUD day, also referred to as a certification day, is a 2 -inch piece of metal that is used on the back of a manufactured house.All requirements that HUD fulfilled in the federal law on the construction and security standards of the federal government.
The federal law requires that every manufacturer built since 1976 has one before it can be moved from the factory.
Tags are placed from below and one foot from the edge on the back of each section of the house.
The metal seal is usually red with silver text, but the color fades into a blunt silver quite quickly.
The same paragraph is every day, but the certification season number stamped in the metal is unique for every house.

The 6 -digit number is simply stamped one after the other by the label maker and used as a identifier for the house.

A data plate is just a piece of paper
A data plate is the white paper that you see glued to the wall or the closet. It has a number of really important information and a simple line map of the United States. The paper is 8.5 "x 11" and looks like this:
The data plate contains the following information:
- Manufacturer or building owner, name and address.
- Date of the house was built.
- serial number
- Model number
- Code -Certification -identifies the HUD -HUD -HUD -HUST -HUNG -HUD -HUD -HUD -HUND -HUSTHUNDAGE Act (Those))
The data plate also contains information about the construction of the house.
Data plates also have the information from the Inspection Agency. This agencies use codes to identify the name of the company. Only a few companies are certified for HUD home inspections. They cannot be connected to the master builder at all.
HUD -ETICET NUMBER
The first three letters are the third -party inspector, which inspects, passed, passed and described the house in the factory.
For example, Geo means that it was checked by Georgia and that the number of the label provides the exact factory information based on records. A few more examples:

Where is the data plate?
According to the federal law, all processed houses in the house must have a data plate. It can be placed in different locations:
- Within a cupboard door in the kitchen
- The back wall of the small bedroom cabinet or the main bedroom cabinet
- In your hot water moving cabinet
- On the inside of a bathroom closet door

If you replace or plan your cupboards to remove the wall with the data plate, you should carefully remove the paper and attach them to another area of the house (e.g. in a different cabinet or closet).
You should protect the data plate on all necessary funds. If you lose it, you cannot finance, sell, improve or repair your house.can.

If you lack your data plates and need it to meet your state or local laws for property sales, improvements, etc., you need to request and pay for a new one via the IBTs.

The IBTS or the Institute for Building Technology and Safety is a long-term hud sub-entrepreneur who processes all inquiries about missing manufacturing data plates. All of the houses manufactured have assigned a serial number. It is important for many reasons.
Your serial number is clearly displayed on the data plate of your house or stamped into the steel crossing member, to which the problem for every section of the house is attached.
If your home is twice wide, there is the same serial number, but in the end a letter, but one is used for a section and B for the other section.
Vehicle historyis connected to their VIN and are also manufactured houses.
The VIN or vehicle identification number is the same.
What does every number mean in the serial number?

- The first three digits represent the factory in which the house was built.
- According to the three digits, there are two letters that represent the state in which the house was built.
- After the abbreviation of the state abbreviations, you have the six digits that represent the serial number of the processed house.
- A twice the same number is used, but a section is identified with an A and the other section with A B (C, if it is a triple width), which represents every section of the house.
