Dissatisfied: Cleanliness, staff and service, amenities, property condition and amenities
We booked 3 nights and left after 1 night. The hotel was unwilling to work with us on a refund through Expedia hence the full negative review. Unsafe/Dirty: Room door could be pushed open, safe was unlocked and locked with a man who could open it with a single code, mold water damage in bathroom, AC didn't work, fridge broken, TV antiquated, no snacks or In-room drinks, additional charges for room service. The food was terrible, all buffets, there are no 5 restaurants, fries and salsa are yellow squeeze cheese and canned guacamole. Not suitable for international travelers and no guidance for short stays to have a good experience. Pool bars serve low quality alcohol including 1 keg of beer and the bars are filled with bees. Loud techno music and constant "activities" shouted into microphones by the pool. Late night music after 12pm blaring outside, not good for sleeping kids. Absolutely nothing to see and do nearby, this hotel is far from it all. Extremely overpriced for the value of what is on offer.

The pools were great, we liked the options. The restaurants that required reservations were also good. One downside was the wait time on arrival, we had to wait after 4pm to get our room. The food, particularly the buffets, were disappointing in terms of taste and variety. Other families at the hotel also expressed their distaste for the food, it was a common belief.

What are the disadvantages of all-inclusive packages for destinations? ›Poor quality food and drink
Stories of watered down alcohol and cardboard food are often features of low quality hotels – not part and parcel of a package holiday. All inclusive guests are served the same goods as cash paying guests, but don't expect the Courvoisier to be part of the deal, you will have to pay extra!
Do I Need to Tip at an All-Inclusive Resort? While tipping is a discretionary and optional gesture, at all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and others, it is certainly encouraged.

So if you don't mind eating in the hotel it's worth weighing up if you can save by going all-inclusive, factoring in local costs and exchange rates.
When you're looking at all-inclusive resort, you might see price that seems reasonable, but what you may not realize is that the charge is usually per person, not per room. This can differ between properties, so you'll have to read the fine print that explains the room rates.
Is all-inclusive more expensive? ›Contrary to popular belief, all inclusive holidays are often more expensive than staying at hotels and separately purchasing your food and drinks at restaurants and bars of your own choice.
Do you tip in an all inclusive resort? ›While tipping may not be required at some all-inclusive resorts, many guests prefer to do so. In the event that you would like to tip staff during your all-inclusive vacation, it is important to find out in advance whether staff would even be allowed to accept those tips.
Do I need cash at an all inclusive resort? ›Credit cards are gold around these parts but it's still a good idea to bring cash along when you travel, even on an all-inclusive vacation. While you won't be paying for meals or drinks, it's a good idea to make friends with your bartender at the beginning of the trip by leaving a tip up front.
Is there a 6 drink limit on all-inclusive? ›No! If you booked before this legislation came into place, you won't have to worry about the rule of six. Alcoholic drinks will be unlimited during the hotel's All Inclusive hours - bring on the Sangria! That being said, any more recent bookings will now have to follow the latest regulations.
